Daily Dose of Protest: Working Poor – Doc Rotten (The Ongoing History of Protest Music)

The New Jersey punk band just released a new video for a tune that appeared on their 2024 self-titled album. Featuring a straight-forward kick ass punk sound, the lyrics critique the meaningless rat race and indicts a government who doesn’t care about the working poor. It also features the poignant line “they want my working poor tax, then expect to kiss their ass, and the corporations don’t pay.”
